JAIL CELL Cave
Sadly, the "Jail Cell" formation has been destroyed by a seismic shift sometime during the past six years, according to the owner, who accompanied us and described what the lower room once contained! Also, if there were right and left passages, there are Voltswagon Beetle sized boulders blocking them. But the one room itself is truly beautiful, with a variety of formations that rival any single room I've had the pleasure of visiting in this Tri-County region.
I never release confidential data, and I didn't ask Chris's permission to post one of his sketches. However, several landowners have asked, "What do ya'll do when you say you will survey and map my cave?" Well, that's why I zoomed in on Chris' work and added this first image. It's truly an art to do what he does, and he's really good at it!
Since we've made it abundantly clear that this cave has demonstrated itself to be 'unstable' sometime in the past five years, I (personally) hope that showing this sketch, with the small hole we descended with a ladder, will keep visitors at bay! Thanks. Use common sense, folks.
