BOULDER CASCADE Cave
Unsure whether this cave is known or unknown matters little to me. A VERY dangerous cave that sits at the base of in a rural Combination Sink/Karst face. A spring emerges from the cliff on the far left edge of the 20-40ft Entrance. The torrent I filmed was during a rainy season. The adjacent neighbor excorted me to the sink, directing me to the safest descent in which to venture a few yards inside and film the cataracts. The roaring torrent passes downstream, into the darkness. However, the cave system is a visual wonder at a conservative 10Hx50-80W some 100-200ft into the opening passage. The passage appears to veer right and narrow. The was no chance of my continuing forward for fear of being swept up in the current. I have never been back, but hold the GPS coordinates, as usual!
VISUAL INSPECTION:
A Water Pipe, maybe 6'-8' lies nearly dead center, extending inside the Entrance further than I could see.
Date, age, material of that water pipe is unknown.
Sewage from the house on the adjacent property flows untreated into the system.
I am now aware of the name of the landowner, who is not on Santa's "Nice" list.
